History.

Planted by Rev David and Mary Clark, Elim Missionaries in 1962 and the church building put up in 1964. The burning of the Pentecostal church in the country, during the regime of dictator Idi Amin forced these missionaries to run for their lives out of the country. The church went underground until the overthrow of
 President Idi Amin by the Tanzania armed forces in 1979.
After the Over throw, the church reopened but now under the leadership of the indigenous people and it has continued to date. ABOUT THE PASTOR. Rev Makka Fredrick has served at Walukuba Elim Church since January 1997; first as the assistant pastor to Rev Bernard Mutambo who went to be with the Lord in 2003. After his death, in 2003, Fredrick was confirmed as the senior Pastor. Before coming to Walukuba, Fredrick had started doing pastoral work as an assistant pastor at Buyala Elim Church between 1988-1989, then in 1990, he was commission to go and plant an E
lim Church in Kibibi Village. In 1991, he went for bible training , and after graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Bible and Theology, from Alpha – Omega Seminary in Jinja in 1995, he continued serving in that village until January 1997 when he was transferred to Walukuba Elim Church where he is still continuing to serve. His passion is to the see the people come to Christ, and grow into true Disciples of Christ with a similar passion to serve the lord. Fredrick has been married to Brenda since 2001 and they have three, Namely:- Michael,Joshua and Jonathan.
